How to Link with Garmin and Send Workouts to Your Watch
Send your Edge Run straight to your Garmin watch
On this page
If you use a Garmin watch, you can send your Edge workouts to it and have completed activities sync back into Edge. Runs, strength and HIIT sessions can all be sent.
Step 1: Connect Edge to Garmin
- Open the You tab and tap the settings cog at the top right.
- Under Training, tap Integrations.
- Tap Garmin, then Connect Garmin.
- Sign in to Garmin and follow the prompts.
Make sure the Garmin Connect app is installed and your watch is paired with your phone. If your connection runs out, the Garmin page shows a message and a Reconnect Garmin button.
Step 2: Send a workout to Garmin
- Open the workout in your Edge plan.
- Tap Send to Garmin below the workout's buttons. (If you have Garmin and Coros connected, the button says Send to Device: choose Garmin.)
- Tap Yes to confirm.
The workout is scheduled in Garmin Connect on the day it's planned in Edge, with its targets.
Step 3: Start it on your watch
- Sync your watch with Garmin Connect (usually automatic).
- Find the Edge workout on your watch for that day and start it.
After your session
Your activity syncs back into Edge automatically, usually within a few minutes, and we notify you. Tap Link on the planned workout to match them up. That marks the session done and keeps your plan on track.
If activities are missing, open the Garmin page in Integrations and tap Sync now to ask Garmin to resend the last 90 days.
Got questions?
If something isn't working, open Settings (the cog at the top right of the You tab) and, under General, tap Speak to a coach (or Help & support, depending on your version of the app).
